Five minds by the numbers

Today was a workday for the "Five Minds" paper.

Six of the eight minds (five of whom presented at either EAM or OBTC or both, plus one new mind -- Jack) brought their bodies (and laptop computers) to 15 Charles Street for more than five hours of intense discussion on the form and content of the paper we are developing for the Organization Management Journal (OMJ). In the paper we (will) have a conversation of three or five voices, representing a dean, a department chair and a faculty member, plus maybe a hiring manager and a student, discussing the implications of one man's (Howard Gardner's) model of Five Minds for the Future at three levels-or domains-- of management education: the community (school or college) level, the department level, and the course level. At a break in our deliberations Diana (self-proclaimed as the "mindless one" at EAM because each of the other five presenters in the six person panel was assigned to one specific mind) provided lunch delivered in four bags, where the three delivery persons included one more mouth to be fed (Diana's son Daniel).

The numbers in this post add up to 84, plus five embedded links, for a total of 89.

(Around the table, clockwise from left: Diana, Mary, Jeanie, Jack, John, Jill's chair. Missing are Regina and Steve.)
