First it was "goodbye" to the
Gig Harbor (WA) crew -- their plane left Providence about 11 AM, but they were delayed in Chicago so were not due to arrive in Seattle until after 10 PM eastern time. I hope Mark will be there to meet them. (Take a look at the photo on the link to Gig Harbor above, and be awed by the scenery.)
It was lonely back on Lord's Point -- but hardly quiet with both the vacuum cleaner and washing machine in high gear. We only finished about half the clean/put way tasks, so need to be busy agaon tomorrow. There was no wind, so we were not missing some great sailing!
Now I'm starting to juggle two different activities. First, my various resear

ch projects, both ongoing, such as spending time with Diana going over the code book for the SPSS manipulation of the Donor Decision data, and finding the qualitative data that I need to examine from a discourse analysis perspective, and future, such as talking with Ulla about the European Academy of Design meeting in Dundee, Scotland, next year and how we might write about differences between Normans's and Porter's perspectives on strategy. Second, I'm starting to get my head around what it means to be Associate Dean. Diana gave me my first gift for my new office -- if only I knew where my new office will be!
