Yesterday the TV forecast high winds -- but fortunately we were spared a tornado watch. I woke up during the night to the sound of the tables and chairs on the balcony crashing about. All my herbs had blown off the table -- and the basil went right over the railing to land 8 floors below! Do you think it will recover?
In the daylight we could see the trees blowing and the ocean "boiling".
The beach was deserted -- the sand was blowing and not even the seagulls were around. There had been a very high tide during the night, but much to my surprise there were no new shells or sea creatures at the tideline. Maybe they will get washed ashore in a day or two.
