Today I worked really hard on research to strengthen the argument in our "Paris paper" in preparation for submitting it to a journal. We need to convince the functionalists that there are other paradigms worth pursuing when researching "design management". A
nd -- more important and more difficult -- we need to convince reviewers and editors that others would find such an argument absoutely fascinating! Our approach is to identify, analyze, and classify articles from three years' worth of four journals -- and this will take several more days. All this work will probably be reduced to a couple of sentences with a supporting table in the finished article. Don't expect to find out via this blog which journal pulishes the paper -- that's at least a couple of years away given the speed of academic publishing!
Meanwhile, Ulla worked in a more relaxed way on administrivia with periodic visits to my desk to discuss progress. She was in great need
of slowing down after her crazy schedule of the past few weeks, so in many ways it felt like a weekend day -- we went over the bridge to the third island in the "complex" -- Fotö
